What Anticip8 may hold about you

Who we are and what this is

Anticip8 is a personal assistant that helps somebody keep up with the people in their life. A person connects their own email, calendar and contacts, and we build them a private view of the people they already talk to.

If you have ever emailed, met or messaged one of our users, your name and address may appear in that person's own account, in the same way they would appear in their phone's contacts or their inbox. That is the whole of it.

What may be held, and what is not

• Your name, and an email address or phone number if our user already had it.
• A one-line summary of an interaction you had with them: that a message was sent on a date, or that a meeting was in the calendar. That line is usually the subject line or the calendar title our user already had, kept as they wrote it, so if a subject line mentioned something it is in that line.
• Raw content is deleted as soon as that one-line summary is made, and in any case within 7 days.
• The one-line summary itself, and anything our product wrote about you out of it, is removed after 180 days. What is left after that is the shape and not the words: that somebody wrote on a Tuesday, never what they wrote. A nightly job does the removing and counts what it took, so it is a mechanism rather than an intention.

What we never do with it: we do not build a profile of you, we do not label or infer anything about your health, religion, politics, sexuality, ethnicity, trade union membership or any criminal matter, we do not guess what you are feeling or why you do things, and nothing about a child is ever used. Those rules are enforced in the code that produces what our user sees, not only in a policy. We never sell data, and nothing about you is ever used to train a model that serves anybody but the one user whose account you appear in.

Said precisely, because the difference matters: the rules above govern what the product infers and shows. They do not scrub a subject line that our user already had in their own inbox. If you would rather none of it were held at all, the form below is the way, and it is the honest answer to that concern.

Who can see it: only the one person whose account it is. Not other users, not the public, and not us in the ordinary course of running the service.

Who else handles it: a short list of companies, each doing one job for us. Amazon Web Services hosts the service and the database. Google and Microsoft carry the mail, calendar and contacts our user has connected. Stripe takes payments and never sees any of this. And OpenRouter is our AI gateway: the one-line summary above is sent to it, and it passes that line to one of the inference providers that serve the model we run. Every request we send carries two restrictions on that provider, that it may not keep prompts for its own purposes and that it must retain nothing once it has answered. That is set on the request rather than promised, so it holds whichever provider answers. The full list, and how we handle data that leaves the European Economic Area, is on anticip8.ai/privacy.

Ask us to hold nothing about you

Give us whichever of these you have. We use it only to match and suppress, we do not reply to it, we do not add it to a mailing list, and we do not ask you for a reason.

Give a first name and a surname, not initials, and a name that describes one person rather than half a phone book. A name is then matched generously, so a request for "Jane Smith" also covers "Dr Jane Smith". If somebody else shares your name, they are suppressed too. We would rather show one card fewer than keep processing somebody who asked us not to.

If you give an address, we send one email to it with a link, and nothing is recorded until you follow the link. That is the only way we can tell your request from somebody else's request about you, and this one applies to every account on the product. A name on its own is acted on straight away.

The request is stored as the value you typed, the date, and a one-way fingerprint of the connection it arrived on, which lets us tell one person's request from an attack on this form and cannot be turned back into your address. Nothing else about you is created by using this form, and none of it is shown to our users. If you change your mind, email privacy@anticip8.ai and we will take it off; there is no button for that on this page on purpose, because a button anybody could press would let somebody else undo your request.

If you would rather ask a person

Write to privacy@anticip8.ai. You can ask what is held, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to it entirely, and you can complain to your data protection authority. In Cyprus, where Anticip8 is run, that is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
